Turtle Stories in the Turtle Theater! Turtle Tales Around the
World is a program of folk tales all with Turtle being the main
character. My pal Toby the Tortoise, helps me introduce the stories and
their origins. These stories hail from many cultures all over the
world. Some of these stories, I heard as a child. I use sound effects
and percussion instruments on each story. I also include some musical
games and participation songs. This program is available for Summer
Reading 2011 as well as any other time of year. It can be set up on the grass outside, (weather permitting), or in a gym or other large room. Inside setup requires gym mats to keep the turtle from flying away! The tent made by the Nylon Zoo Company, is 32' by 20' and 15' feet tall.
